Help the Hatters Update 17

The first week for some time without a Tuesday Working Party  had a feel of the unreal about it- with no painting to do life seemed oh so pointless, until County came away with one at Borough Stadium Workington- catch the match report at http://hedgegrower.blogspot.com

Actually life has been far from pointless really and HtH have found loads to do and plan to do in the 7 days since the last Update.
Here`s a run down;-

Update  on Fitzy.

He is slowly progressing and managing to get out occasionally whilst taking things slowly. He made it to Edgeley Park last Saturday for the Boston game  , accompanied by Mike and Natalie, and he was overwhelmed by the kindness shown to him by countless supporters. He was disappointed with the result of course but your support made up for that , and he sends his good wishes to all!

Alan Lord`s Profootball Academy

Help the Hatters have agreed to become a sponsor of Alan`s Academy for aspiring 16-18 year old footballers.£150 covered the cost of playing and travelling kit, and we felt this venture was well worthy of support.Alan thanks evryone for their support thus far! HtH County Yearbook

We continue to sell this excellent item which is a real bargain at £2, and a must for travelling fans with its terrific Away Ground guide to the Conference North. I will be at Altrincham on Saturday with a few copies on me if you have not bought yours yet, and the aim is to have sellers out on Monday from 1.45 on Hardcastle Road helping us try and reach our break even mark of 500 copies. We produced 1000 and although we sold a mighty 112 copies last Saturday, we are still short of our first target of 500. If you can help sell the Yearbook please seek me out on Hardcastle Road near the Cheadle End turnstile from 1.30

Car boot-Monday 26 August

We are running a Car Boot Sale  which goes ahead on Monday 26th starting at....06.00. No need to turn out at 06.00- but if you can help at all at any time between then and 13.00 please advise Angela on angela.moore53@ntlworld.com or 07867856394. This is a substantial funds earner for Help the Hatters , who do not have membership fees to rely on, and it does require a good few bodies on site to make it work, so if you can do...please help.

 Blog.                          http://hedgegrower.blogspot.com

The site topped 15800 page views this morning and continues to thrive now having attracted AdSense units. The last week has seen two match reports published and an excellent article by Pauline Coddington ` From Navy Blue to County Blue' which earned favourable comment from the Yellowboard- no mean feat! We continue to carry a link to our sister site www.stockport.vitalfootball.co.uk  and would encourage HtH supporters to continue visiting that site and thus earn HtH some Vital income!

General Meeting

As a check/balance HtH will hold occasional General Meetings to ensure supporters views are taken into account as far as possible when deciding what to do and when.If you are on our database of HtH supporters you will get notice of the time/ date/venue when this is decided. We hope to be able to confirm these details soon. If youare not currently on the database, but want to be included on it -  email me at madhatterib@virginmedia.com and you`re on!

That`s all for now.

Regards.
