This will
be our fourth visit to York Road.
The stadium is situated in the town centre, and easy to find on foot, just past the Heritage Centre on your right, across the road - the entrance to the ground is clearly signed. Main entrance is in York Road, but , with the game segregated we will likely be required to enter via Bell Street.

Half a league, half a league,
Half a league onward,
All in the valley of death,
Rode the six hundred,
“Forward the Light Brigade !
Charge the guns!” he said,
Into the Valley of Death,
Rode the six hundred.
That was how I opened the match report the last time we were able to watch County at York Road.
OK …a slight exaggeration …..perhaps, and for 600 read 350 ( the number
who made the trip south to support County) ……….,but a big County
following made the trip to Berkshire, midst the Covid19 pandemic, no thanks to the NL suits who in their
glorious self-isolation left County and Maidenhead fans and teams to it !
Thankfully this brilliant show of support was suitably rewarded by a
sterling performance from James Gannon`s side who pulled themselves up by the
bootstraps from 1-0 down to send their supporters home deliriously happy by
dent of two superb second half goals , from Ash Palmer and now ex Hatter Liam McAlinden, that won the game… sending them into the
play off positions.
We will look for something similar from County on 14 September !

Car Parking - Grove Road is the obvious option, but be aware there is a 2 hour parking restriction in place, so the Sainsburies or Stafferton Way Car Parks are recommended .
Seating
is at no extra charge - and Maidenhead have an excellent new stand with disabled
access and wheelchair spaces.
There is a tea bar from which hot and cold
drinks plus snacks can be obtained. The chips are excellent.
In
addition Stripes Bar is open on match days for anyone in need of a pint.
Not sure whether there will be crowd segregation, but there no doubt will be some on the day ,but those of an optimistic nature might want to await further word on this aspect.
