Help the Hatters Pre Yule Monday Report
The rain swept mercilessly across Edgeley Park today having scant regard for the arriving throng of Help the Hatters regulars.
With the two Mike`s attending to matters pitch side when the
weather allowed, the main body set about clearing Saturday`s litter, whilst
Anne and Jan looked to the dressing room area as per usual.
Job done, it was back for a brew in the County Museum, where
we were joined by Hartmut Heesen, a football supporter from Basel,Switzerland, who expressed
himself pleased having been around Edgeley Park as part of his tour of `real
football grounds in the UK`.
We also had to attend to sorting our Xmas Raffle, a must
this year in the absence of our major source of income ( Car Boots ). There are
4 prizes ( pictured near the Xmas Tree) :-
1st Prize: A Wonderful Xmas Hamper crammed with goodies!
2nd Prize: 2 Match Tickets
3rd Prize : Bottle of Chivas Regal
4th Prize:
Bottle of Sherry.
Tickets ( £2 per
strip/ 3 for £5) can be obtained from any of the usual Help the Hatters
suspects, and we hope to be able to announce the winners on Sunday 22 December-
Good Luck all !
In addition, John Gaskin produced some interesting items , which
we are putting up for sale , namely some
excellent Steve Ridgway prints.

A framed
print of the main stand from Hardcastle Road. £15
2.
Unframed print as above. £8

on doing what they do !
Thank you for your support!
Later this week :-
We are fired up by this project and, in an effort to ensure the facility is ready for use for Xmas, we start work tomorrow ( Tuesday 26th).
Please join us if you can from 10 am any day of the week at the Study Centre- we will be doing a similar job as we did at the Cheadle & Gatley JFC facility, starting probably with painting on Tuesday, so please join us and be a valued part of our team!
Edgeley Park Clean Up Session ( post Solihull) 10 am Thursday 28 November. We will be sorting Xmas decorations in the Museum also, and with Help the Hatters being nominated for a Queens Award for Volunteering, we are expecting a visit from the Lord Lieutenant of Manchester circa 10.45........ another reason for you to join us- you would be made very welcome.
