Supporters Bar:
When games are not segregated visiting supporters are welcome to use the bar facilities at the ground.
The 'Legends Lounge' bar is located in the corner of the ground next to the Boro Shop, at the opposite end to where away fans are housed.
Liberty Way is a modest stadium, a gaffe shared, much to
the host clubs ire, with Nuneaton RFC.
With no segregation in
place, fans have been able to switch ends at half time previously, mixing amicably throughout, but the game is likely to be segregated this season.
There was cover behind
both goals, and covered seating available too, thus with the stewards
brilliantly friendly County fans were able to relax and enjoy the game .
Sustenance!
This was a disappointment.
In 2016/17 the food was excellent, but the purveyor of foodstuffs had changed last
term, and last season’s ` seasons best’ hot dog was replaced by a particularly
wimpish offering with onions best saved for the bin, and that’s where the whole
thing went after a bite or two.
The picture was the same elsewhere as I found no one particularly thrilled with the burgers etc.
Disappointing ! |
The picture was the same elsewhere as I found no one particularly thrilled with the burgers etc.
The relaxed atmosphere
however…. enabled access to the bar on the ground which proved a welcome
shelter from the weather’s worst efforts outside, but the beer was nothing special
old hedgie was advised.
Programme.
There were 36 pages of
`Boro’ which was an attractive read at
£2.50. I particularly enjoyed page 5
where Tommy Wright extolled fans to ` Make some noise today, and get behind the
boys from first whistle to last’ when of course
by that time dear old Tommo would be far away and serving another cause.
