The Horsfall Stadium is a frustrating place at which to watch football.
There's a big stand that is more than adequate for Division 6, and plenty of room around the perimeter to stand and watch if that is your bag of beans, but because the stadium is an athletics facility, the stand is a fair distance from where things are happening on the field of play. So bring some binoculars with you!

Normally , in addition , the weather is foul, and you risk double pneumonia whilst standing
around the edge of the track at a cold magnet only bettered by the Bescot ( or
whatever it is called today) and Fratton Park in February.Yes....the venue attracts the iciest of winds as well as any
Arctic plain does, so
visitors are always well advised to go for as many layers as can
reasonably be
accommodated under the heaviest of top coats......and add one!
Old hedgie counted 4
porta-loos, and leaves it to you dear reader to decide whether that is
sufficient provision for well over 800 County fans.
Sustenance!
Pam again provided the
catering facility this time around, and generally speaking County fans were OK
with Pam’s wares .
There was no beer tent last season, a
move made presumably to avoid a repartition of the previous season’s pitch
invasion, which again ( along with a need for no flare throwing) is a basic and very obvious priority if County are to avoid unwanted ,or promotion hindering penalties.
Programme.
`Avenue Review’ is usually good value and a passable
read.
