It's a few years since last we set foot in Bootham Crescent with the prospect of another hum dinger of a game against York City offering itself.

As games go, those twixt County and City tend to be packed with most things football fans look for and usually a touch more besides- expect this terms offering to be no exception to this rule !

Getting There By Car:

A1 from the South


M60( E&N) to J18
M62 to J29
M1 (North)
A1(M)to J44
 
  Continue onto the A64 sign posted York.
- Continue for round 10miles and take the exited onto the A1237.
- Go straight through 4 round abouts.
- On the 5th around about take a 3rd exit onto Shipton Rd/A19
- Continue on the A19 for around 2 miles and take a left onto Bootham Crescent


  


Car Parking

There is no parking at the ground and very limited street parking around the ground. The two nearest car parks are:
 

Bootham Row Car Park, Bootham Row, York, YO30 7BP

This is located on Bootham and is around 800 yards from the ground.

Union Terrace Car Park,Clarence Street, York, YO31 7ES

This is located on opposite York St John’s University on the B136 and is around 800 yards from the ground.

By Train:

The main station is York, which is situation in the centre of York, around one mile from the ground and a 20 minute walk.

- Take a left out of the station and follow the road down over the river.
- Just before you get to York Minster take a left past the Theatre Royal.
- Take the next left down Bootham
- Continue up Bootham and take a right on Bootham Crescent after the Churchill Hotel


By Bus:

There are a number of Park and Rides around the city, which take you within walking distance of the ground.

Away Supporters Accommodation....




The (away) open terrace houses over 1700



Travelling supporters do not need to enter the car park at Bootham Crescent in order to enter the ground although the Club Shop is situated just inside the main gates and is open prior to kick-off.

Away fans enter Bootham Crescent through turnstiles 14 to 23 in Grosvenor Road, with visiting supporters housed predominantly in an uncovered terracing which is situated behind one goal. It can hold 1,785 spectators.

There are also an additional 332 covered seats available to away fans in section U of the Popular Stand, immediately to the right of the Grosvenor Road End and running along the side of the pitch.

Tickets are generally sold on the day of the game on a first come, first served basis, although on occasion pre-sales will be possible at the ticket office of the visiting club in the week prior to the fixture.

Cash sales are only accepted at the turnstile.

£14.00 adults

There is a  £1.00 charge to transfer to the covered seating.

A programme seller will usually sell match day magazine inside the ground at the top of the stairs leading up from the turnstile. Each programme costs £3.00.

There is a food kiosk inside the away section of the ground selling a selection of hot and cold drinks and hot and cold snacks, including burgers, pies and hot dogs.

There is no access to the away end for supporters in wheelchairs. Away supporters in wheelchairs will be able to use the dedicated wheelchair enclosure used by home supporters. Access to this covered enclosure is via turnstile 13, located near the food kiosk just inside the entrance of the car park. Disabled toilet facilities are located just inside turnstile 13.

There is no car parking available inside Bootham Crescent and limited on-street parking in the immediate vicinity of the stadium.

Real Ale Pubs close by the ground.......

The first one is right next to the ground,but at this point it is not clear if County fans are welcomed...
