Help the Hatters Update 46
Sunday 28
September was not only the day after County`s excellent FA Cup win at
Harrogate, it was when County supporters pulled all the stops out again in an
inspirational double whammy!
First
off...just before 06.00( yes unbelievable isn`t it, but such an hour does
exist!), a band of Help the Hatters stalwarts were on site to open the Booth
Street Car Park to set another giant Car
Boot Sale in motion.
It was a
giant affair as well, as over 100 sellers plied their wares .The weather was
amazingly balmy for the time of year, so expect Hurricane Herbert to be abroad
for the next one!
The
organisation, put together by Angela Moore, was spot on and the effort will
significantly bolster Help the Hatters efforts to assist the Club.
There will
hopefully be one more Car Boot for 2014. A license has been applied for, for
Sunday 19 October, so if you are able to help at any stage on that date ,please
let Angela know via email
hthcarboot@hotmail.co.uk
They`re off- the W.P begins work ! |
Nine o`clock
saw Help the Hatters and the Stockport County Supporters Cooperative confirm
that not only is `Stronger Together’ a neat tag line, but also the way forward
for supporters of the Club, as the two organisations united effectively ,
meeting at the blues spiritual and actual home....Hardcastle Road ,for the Bungalow
Working Party organised to tackle the job of painting the front of
the `Bung’ in response to the deal they concluded with Saint Saviour to donate
50p for every match day pint sold on their premises, to the Players Fund.
The colour
scheme decided upon was white and blue.....unsurprising from a County
perspective, but for a Labour Club something of a departure!
A good start
was made, and other Working Party`s will follow, so please volunteer to help if
you can. For sure there will be another W.P. this coming Sunday ( start 9 a.m)
,and there may be others before hand during the day. If you are available
either during the day mid week or week-ends, let John Gaskin or myself know
please.
