County
Community Foundation Festive Finale a
Massive Hit( and just look who showed up !)
Yes, this
impromptu Wednesday Report from Help the Hatters makes no apology for featuring our
magnificent Community Foundation , who were in the County Museum this morning
for the final session of the year of the highly successful `Sport in Memories`
group.
Help the
Hatters have provided support since the group launched in the form of ensuring
food and drink was available and served to all who turned up, and there has
been a good number throughout the year, and from the header pic you can see we
had a very welcome guest indeed today as John Fitzpatrick popped in to see us –
it was so good to see him!
Adrian
opened proceedings, welcoming all and thanking those who have worked so hard to
make the group a success.
We knew
there would be trouble however as a Pseudo Santa had infiltrated proceedings………..
…………….red
rag to the genuine article, and the twosome gave us a brief re-run of Ruiz/
Joshuah 2 …….
Dave and
Adrian soon smoothed all that out posing for an appropriate photo.
A huge
priority for Help the Hatters was to do the draw for our Xmas Raffle which
looks to have raised over £500 – a big contribution towards keeping us doing
what we do!
The winner
of the First Prize- handsome hamper, was
Kath ( sorry do not know the surname at this point)with yellow tickets 156-160
(752344).
Second prize
of a bottle of Chivas Regal Whisky went to Carol Barlow . Pink / White tickets
71-75 ( 472398).
Third Prize
of Match Tickets was won by Broderick Harley with yellow tickets 171-175(
337235), and the final prize of a bottle of sherry went to Rob Golding with
yellow tickets 41-45 ( 752244 )
Congratulations
to all the winners, who will be contacted as soon as possible to arrange
collection.
A lively
Quiz followed , won by Peter after a tie break question…..
And the
final element , Bingo, went to eighty odd numbers before Arthur could claim his
prize.
All in all
an excellent morning.
It was good
to see the Community Foundation and Help the Hatters working so well together,
and even better to see Fitzy show his face – keep the good work up John….get
well soon !

Hatters- Doers not Talkers !
