Help the Hatters Monday Report- June 2019
The sun was shining at Edgeley Park this morning as Help the Hatters turned up in good numbers for a crack at a multiplicity of tasks under the gaffership of John Gaskin.
John soon set about getting the paint ready for the first painting session ( not counting the brilliantly unstinting efforts with brush paint and scraper consistently carried out by Anne and Jan.
John then joined Keith under the roof of the Pop Side applying the first coat of grey to the steps.
Meanwhile Dot re-joined the cleaning of the Upper Tier seats in the Cheadle End with Edd.
Oh….and rumour has it that Fitzy has been talking to a Falconer with a eye on the bird s@@t situation !
All this time Ray and Broderick made a start on clearing detritus from near the exit door at the rear of the Railway End with a view to the upcoming concerts , with Terry...................
who also made a punt for the refreshment portfolio by preparing the brew !
And……Mike O was busy mowing……
.................whilst…fresh from meeting HMQ at the Palace Anne and Jan , having done the prep , made a start on the corridor beneath the Cheadle End stand.
Sadly…one person is missing from the raft of photos here, namely Jim. Fearing not a further threat of a writ, the writer did try and locate Mr T who had started early on a lone litter pick, for a photo op`, but without success- perhaps next time !
Thanks to all who showed today!
Next session is Wednesday at 6pm( Painting and Seat Cleaning on the menu). John G will be in EP from 10 am on Thursday also , so …if you fancy that just turn up !
With the `big gigs` upcoming at Edgeley Park in June, the Club are looking for a team of volunteers who could be on hand to help if required.
The exact fine detail of the job will be clarified later, but if you can assist by fulfilling this role on all or any of the days concerned, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
The days are:- Thursday 20 June, Friday 21 June and Saturday 22 June.
