Keep on the A6140 until you come to a set of
traffic lights with a cinema on your right, turn left at these lights,
Follow road over a bridge then over a
mini-roundabout then turn left after the mini-roundabout.
Ground is at the bottom.
ALL VEHICLES MUST PARK IN THE CAR PARK ON THE
RIGHT. COACH PARK ON LEFT
The Tameside Stadium has a capacity of 4000,
with seating provision for 527 in the covered stand. There is a covered
standing area opposite the main stand offering protection from the elements for
circa 600. A decent stadium, but it's always a good idea to don your winter gear before a trip to this spot.
The stadium is neat
and nicely appointed , but is also exposed to the elements that usually lash
those in the vicinity in unremitting fashion..
The Stadium is home for the most magnificent football related statue........
Toilet Facilities are a touch problematicle for the travelling supporters, not many porta loos serving a large body of County supporters.
Admitedly there are some more acceptable toilets in the ground, but away fans had a ridiculous trek to find them( near the main stand).
Sustenance!

`Atlas Bar’ sold food, and drinks
including those of the alcoholic variety.
The facility was located better than the bogs, but hedgie found that, after queuing patiently….the heavily advertised pies were `not ready’ when he eventually made it to the front of the queue.

Programme.
`The Nash’…all 60 pages of
it, scores some browny points for our Tameside hosts. This
is a fairly basic read, but had 8 pages
on County last season including 5 of pen pictures.
Not bad value at £2.50.
