The EON Visual Media Stadium, as you might be tempted to name this venue, is tucked away in the back streets of Ferriby , adjacent to a railway line , and within sight of the Humber Bridge.

There was no segregation on the occasion of our last visit to this venue in  season 2015/16, thus both sets of fans could happily abuse the officials, and occasionally the opposition, in plain ear shot of each other, without there being the slightest hint of inter club rancour. The stewarding was low key to none existent, which is just about how it should be, although the rough and ready cut of Ferriby's on the field jib, with less well mannered fans than County's might have sorely tested the on site policing/ stewarding !

Sustenance!

There were pies ( steak....steak....or steak), pasties, burgers , chip butties and the usual array of sub gourmet classics. Not a bad facility really, but some work needed on the pastry which is a tad too challenging, but popular I hear with Dentists!

Also...it is sad to report that  the chips were soggy on our last visit

A big plus however is that County fans have access to the Club House bar for those so inclined, so overall I would happily visit this spot again.

2.     M60 to J18
3.    At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto the M62 ramp to Leeds/Halifax/Huddersfield
4.    Merge onto M62
5.    Continue onto A63
6.    Take the exit toward B1231/N.Ferriby/Melton
7.    At the roundabout, take the 4th exit
8.    At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Melton Rd
9.    Continue onto High St/B1231
10. Turn right onto Church Rd
11. Take the 2nd left onto Grange Lane

Simply Disgraceful ! This day will rank in infamy    with some of the darkest in our Club`s history- the owners of Stockport County have sacked Jim Gannon…..a dreadful decision......... totally bereft of merit, and one heralded by a shamefully inadequate announcement, as insulting to County fans as it is to Jim. Champions under Jim in our last completed season, fourth in the league after as impressive a win as any Club Chair could wish to witness from his team on Tuesday, despite the interrupted nature of the current season, and clearly playing well, so this smacks of something other than prudence or good decision making and as for being rational and fair………….. “Where`s the goals gonna come from”-is a familiar refrain from those wanting County to ship in a new striker every other week, and County once again fully answered that one with “ from almost everywhere” as goals from defenders Sam Minihan and Ash Palmer secured all the points at the Racecourse Ground today against Wrexham. A 2-0 County lead at half time seemed to signal a rout, but Wrexham fought well upon the re-start and made a real match of it , albeit that an imperious display by County`s superb back line limited them largely to shots from distance. The defensive display from JG`s boys, in the second 45 minutes, if somewhat hard on the nerves, was again excellent , but a late goal to the Welshmen made the last few minutes tenser than perhaps they should have been.         Perhaps expectations were a touch excessive, after all most visits to Meadow Lane usually result in a stiff test from a home side hell bent on victory. Today was no exception to this as County were outplayed for 94 and a half minutes of the 96 played, by a Notts County side drilled to do the basics correctly, and doing just that. Almost all their passes, no matter the situation, inevitably found a man in a black and white shirt who knew thereafter precisely what they should do with it, whereas if County had no shortage of possession at times, they appeared to be largely lacking a basic pattern to work to that went beyond the sideways pass, and the occasional long ball from Rooney.
