Help the Hatters Update 50

Welcome to  this the 50th edition of the Help the Hatters Update, and I hope you are as excited as I am with the way our football team is playing just now!
Help the Hatters are playing a blinder too as it happens, and as we speak materials have been sought and purchased to ensure that the joint Help the Hatters/ Supporters Cooperative Bungalow Indoor Working Party 1 , which is on Thursday 20 November from 6p.m, is able to make a start on the interior of what we hope will become a County supporters social hub.
The pre match sessions are bringing in money for the Players Fund via the Bungalow`s donations based on how many pre and post match pints are sold on match days. The popularity of the pre match experience is growing rapidly, and the place was bulging before Saturday`s Hednesford game as County favourites old and new graced the place and mixed happily with the supporters.

Fitzy & Des, two County Legends, catch up !

First off .... County`s Steve Bellis introduced  goal machine and County Legend from the noughties, Luke Beckett , who took time out to call in at the Bungalow where he was presented with his SCAN Certificate by County fan Jake O`Hara. Luke was not slow to recount happy days at County ( his happiest in football) and wished the Club well in the future.

Jake O`Hara presents Luke Beckett with his SCAN certificate!

Kenny Boxhall then called current favourite Kristian Dennis to the mike, and Kristian did well in an improvised Q & A session, speaking at one point, about his ` McConville moment’.

That was Saturday....Sunday saw the Joint Help the Hatters/ Supporters Cooperative Bungalow Working Party 8 , tackling the exterior to the Bung. Numbers were small....the usual suspects in reality were on site and dealt with litter/ weeding and the other side of the slightly damp wall in the main Bung room.

A positively subterranean Vicar !
The Vicar....John G, and Hopsky toiled away clearing vast amounts of rubbish before clearing the ground around the drains at the back to see what was what. The Vicar came into his own at this point – becoming positively subterranean at one juncture, so deep did he go in his endeavours to get to the bottom of the problem.

Mike Hopper( note the still digging Vicar!)
A good start was definitely made, well done lads! Fitzy meanwhile was on weeding duties and covered a fair percentage of the surrounding area with his lethal looking spray device!

The weeds get some, from Fitzy !
The next outdoor Working Party is on Sunday next the 23 November,so.....please come down any time from 9 a.m, if you can. If you cannot make it Sunday ,perhaps Thursday would suit for the Indoor W.P. which starts at 6 p.m.

Connor Hancock.

Last Wednesday at Cantilever Park, Connor Hancock made his debut for the County first team against FA Cup giant killers Warrington Town. Connor, who Help the Hatters were delighted to support in attaining his first pro- contract, is to be congratulated for this achievement. We know that Connor , a very talented and versatile defender, is highly regarded by County Manager Alan Lord, and it is plain that he has a bright future ahead of him in the game, and  Help the Hatters  will watch his progress with pride!

News from the Supporters Cooperative.

Congratulations to the Supporters Cooperative, and in particular Phil and Christine , who toiled ceaselessly to endure that the Band Night on 15 November, featuring Superfuzz, The Mantells and a set from Rodger Wylde and Tom Bennett, was a roaring success....and it was! A brilliant night by all accounts and a credit to all concerned!
