County Supporters Prove we are Stronger Together at the Bungalow !
Help the
Hatters and the Stockport County Supporters Cooperative, have long since
subscribed to the slogan `Stronger Together'. But....Saturday saw the two
closely knit supporters organisations prove it was more than a nifty tag line,
but a working ethic!
For months
now ,the two organisations have been cooperating magnificently on issue after issue,
and the afternoon of County v Ilkeston game saw one such issue burst forth into
the public gaze in a burst of colour.
Joint
working parties had done a splendid job, in the 2 or 3 weeks prior to
Saturday`s opening, in transforming the Bungalow into something recognisably
County.
Come
Saturday and with Alan Lord, along with a clutch of first team players and Club officials, booked to do the biz opening the new Bungalow
enterprise,
Fitzy was on hand along with Natalie ( whose son Connor made it to
the County bench for the game)to decorate the inside with balloons and other
County stuff.
Thanks to Natalie, Help the Hatters were able to provide free food pre match ,which I know went down well. Fitzy meanwhile was caught on camera circa 11.45 in a fairly familiar pose zapping them weeds in the Bung Car Park!

There were
not that many in the Club at the opening time of 12.45, but by 2 o`clock ( a
more realistic time to expect fans to turn out) the place was fairly buzzing....
....... and
a good number from Ilkeston joined us for the first of many such occasions, which included the presentation by Ian Lancashire of a SCAN Certificate to County Legend Freddie Goodwin.
It
is true to say that a fair few ideas are in the air just now as to how the Bung
site might be best utilised for the
benefit of supporters and the Bungalow Club, who are making a welcome contribution
from bar takings to the Players Fund. Watch this space for news in this
respect!
We are Stronger
Together!
