Bower Fold is a decent stadium for this level, and could do a job in the F.L if they ever got that far. Plenty of cover and adequate seating available ,although it must be said that if some of the stewards paid as much attention to stopping fans encroaching onto the playing area as they do  trying to  stop said supporters peacefully watching the game, I for one would have been the better pleased!

Sustenance!

Well....in season 2013/14.....Celtic got caught out on the nosh front with the pies, having ordered enough to feed the nation, they were left offering`2 for the price of 1’ deals after the final whistle to avoid having a small mountain of the meat & potato on their hands come Xmas! Last season I saw no pies, just hot dogs....burgers....drinks, and ....the Bower Fold show stopper.....their `Bacon Roll’ .

From the add, this looked a mighty morsel indeed ( see pic)- a fluffy bun trembled under the weight of a huge mound ( no other word suffices) of bacon which swayed under the top bun that surely couldn`t stay in position for long. At £2.50 I was hooked, and whilst the reality turned out to be more the McDonalds Diminutive than Swaying Giant ....it proved a very tasty number indeed! I was well pleased as were others I spoke to. Gastronomic Guru Jeff, kept to the hot dogs again and again was disappointed, searching in vain for the elusive flavour and texture he treasures so!
