1964-65 50th Anniversary Reunion - 7th February 2015

A proud announcement from SCAN Guardians......

On behalf of the SCAN guardians, I am delighted to be able to announce that we will be holding a 50th anniversary reunion of the 1964-65 County team.

This will take place on Sat 7th February 2015 (the closest date to the 3rd Feb 1965 when we played Liverpool at EP).

Following many months work and research I can confirm that we have been able to find all of the surviving players and the families of those who have passed away. On what will be a fantastic day of celebration and commemoration we will welcome back the team for the first time in 50 years.

Those confirmed include Mulhearn, Eckersall, Sandiford, Hodgkinson, Harold, Phoenix, Beighton, Parry, Peacock and Watt. We will have representatives of the families of Trevor Porteous,Frank Beaumont, groundsman Harold Allcock and most poignantly John Nibloe. Sadly despite our best efforts we have not been able to find family of the late Len White but we shall continue to try up to the date of the event.

This will be a great County occasion and will culminate in a celebration evening in the Bungalow Club that will start promptly after the game at 5.45pm.

We will be presenting SCAN Certificates as well as telling the story of the amazing 1964-65 season. We will be asking fans to add their memories of a special season and we are finalising a special souvenir brochure for the evening.

The event is free and we hope to pack the Bungalow Club to welcome back a great County team, most of whom have not been back in 50 years. We need everyone's support and we would be very grateful if people could publicise this and let their friends know. Like all of the reunion events we have done in the past, this will be an evening that will represent everything that is great about being a Hatter.
