County stormed back to form big style at Edgeley Park today, where promotion chasing full timers York City, were deservedly beaten 2-0 in front of another crowd of well over 4000. It was a superb performance from Jim Gannon’s men, and whilst Ben Hinchliffe probably deserved the M.O.M award he took, there were a clutch of other fine showings from the men in blue that merited more than a mention.   Hinchliffe- M.O.M  Warburton was only on the park for 53 minutes but in that time was a revelation in the way he used the possession to advantage, putting huge pressure on York. Warburton ( Andrew Machin )  He scored one and provided an assist for the other that was scored by Stephenson. Dazzer ran…ran…and ran some more in the County cause- he was well up there for honours!   Stephenson- 90 mins plus from him ( Andrew Machin ) I thought Harry Winter deserved a mention also after giving us 90 odd minutes of committed graft,...

First Half County Support behind the goal (Andrew Machin ) If the weather was   cold and wintry as County took on high flying full timers Harrogate Town at their Wetherby Road gaff last night, the treatment afforded to County’s travelling fans was happily   back to its pre 2016/17 best with Town the perfect hosts.  County supporters enjoy the Harrogate hospitality ! On the park however   the treatment meted out by the home side matched the weather precisely as County were beaten 4-1 on what was a disappointing night for Jim Gannon’s side. Brrr its cold on the Wetherby Rd Terrace..( Andrew Machin) At times County looked good and played some neat football, but they found high scoring Town sharper and better where it mattered most- at the sharp end. Put simply Harrogate looked what they are….a good team honed and made better by being able to work together full time. They are second in the division and score for fun, and we saw why last nig...
