With County's run of unbeaten home League games well and truly ended by Guiseley, attention at the final whistle quickly turned to the other results at the top and the damage caused. Remarkably County held on to 6th place - although this admittedly was helped by the fact that the two sides directly below them, Oxford city and Worcester City were not in action. Boston United brought themselves back to level on points with the Hatters thanks to an equaliser from Marc Newsham (74). County became only the second of 8 sides to prevent Fylde winning at home; a result that gives the Hatters the chance of catching them on points when Fylde open our December EP fixtures. In contrast the result meant County lost ground on all the other clubs above them except one. It was second placed Guiseley who were the only top 5 loser and they did so to Barrow who built on their lead in the table. Mid-November and County sitting in the play-off zone with games in hand on most of their nearest competitors for a play-off place. Another positive day in the Vanarama Conference North.  Aside from County's result the other key scoreline in their move up to 5th place came at Boston United. Neither the Pilgrims nor visitors Chorley could find the net allowing County to leap-frog over both clubs. County's next target is 4th place Solihull Moors. The Midlands side kept their single point advantage thanks to a best of 5 goals encounter at Bradford Park Avenue. Avenue must have been hopeful when Chib Chilaka (2) gave them an early lead. But Moors turned it round by half-time with Liam Daly (26) equalising before League top scorer Omar Bogle (33 & 45) ended his two game shut-out with a brace. A welcome win today that sets things up nicely for an assault on the play-off spots next Saturday - after a brief sojourn into the Cheshire Senior Cup at FA Cup giant-killers Warrington Town on Tuesday night. Although the result only meant a one place climb in the table County did close the gap on four of the six teams above them who were in action today. Dropping below County are Oxford City as they were only able to draw at home to next to bottom Stalybridge Celtic . Both goals came in the first half with Javier Rodriguez (11) putting Oxford ahead before a foul by the keeper on Ben McKenna gave Celtic a penalty and Liam Dickinson (28) got his first goal since September from the spot. Hednesford Town dropped out of the play-off places and are now one of two clubs ahead of County on goal difference only. That was possibly the worst day of the season so far for County as most of the clubs above them in the table claimed three points. As if that wasn't bad enough two sides below won to push the Hatters down to 9th in the table 3 points adrift of the play-offs. The teams that climbed above County included the side that inflicted AFC Fylde's first defeat since the third game of the season back in August. Fylde took the lead at Boston United through Jamie Allen (18). As half time neared they surprisingly lost their lead when Zac Mills (39) scored and there was a further shock for the Coasters as former County defender Carl Piergianni (45) gave Boston the lead at the interval. Piergianni added another four minutes into the second half to complete the victory with Boston's keeper contributing by saving Richie Allen's injury time penalty.
