With County's run of unbeaten home League games well and truly ended by Guiseley, attention at the final whistle quickly turned to the other results at the top and the damage caused. Remarkably County held on to 6th place - although this admittedly was helped by the fact that the two sides directly below them, Oxford city and Worcester City were not in action. Boston United brought themselves back to level on points with the Hatters thanks to an equaliser from Marc Newsham (74). This prevented their visitors Brackley Town from going home with the points as seemed possible after Sam Whitall (17) had scored. Marc Newsham, scored for Boston United.
