Great news..... thanks to our loyal  world wide readership http://hedgegrower.blogspot.com has achieved 300000 page views, in a period spanning June 2013 to today . Help the Hatters – The Players Fund

“Time and tide wait for no man” – so the phrase used through history tells us. So it should be no surprise that our new manager isn’t waiting for the new tide of a new season to bed in new blood.   Since the launch of the players fund firstly during Lordy’s tenure and the recent support provided to Neil Young’s term, Help the Hatters is once again proud by way of representation of all Stockport County Supporters in helping to support our new manager as he begins to put in place the kind of players he hopes will excite us and begin to drive the club up the league placings.    At today’s press conference we were pleased to see where your donations and continued support has been provided with the new signing of Obi Anoruo officially becoming an SCFC player.   It’s evident from the speed in adding to the squad that Jim Gannon believes it necessary to provide a good bedding in period as he begins the construction of putting together the full squad t...

Gloucester City 0 Stockport County 0 : ( Vanarama National League North) 23 January 2016

County put in a decent shift today at Whaddon Road to share the points, in a nil/ nil draw, with a Gloucester City side that had just won four out of the last four games, scoring a bag full in the process. Not a bad start for Jim Gannon at all under the circumstances ,no one shirked a shift ,only a goal was missing, and in truth neither keeper was severely tested in a game in which defences dominated…..County’s expertly marshalled by captain Sean O’Hanlon …..City’s by Sam Avery who dealt with everything that came his way. If perhaps expectations were not that high before the game, there was a massive increase in morale with over 350 making the trip from Cheshire, to support their team and welcome Jim back.    Blue & White Army in full voice!
