Debt to Equity.

The Supporters Cooperative Says It...hedgegrower Agrees !

In times of massive uncertainty both in the world in general and football in particular, good news is a rare commodity, but hedgegrower sees this as being just that and adds his congratulations to Mr Stott for this most welcome of actions, and to the Cooperative for keeping their eye on this particular ball.

The Supporters Cooperative message is reproduced here:_

Debt to Equity.

The Supporters Cooperative notes with satisfaction the announcement from the Club confirming that, as promised   Mark Stott `s investment of £7.7m in the Club has been converted to equity.

This is most welcome, and we congratulate Mr Stott on taking this action that serves the Club and its Supporters well!

From the day in January 2020 that we met Mr Stott and his team prior to the take over at the Club, working to ensure that Stockport County avoided pit falls from the past and attained debt free status has been a priority for us and a matter we have raised assiduously at every opportunity.

The response from the Club has always consistently been that debt would be converted to equity, and in this cynical world it is heartening to see such an important promise kept!

There is much further investment to come as far as the immediate future of the Club is concerned, and the Supporters Cooperative will remain committed to working to keep County debt free- Mr Stott`s actions give us grounds for optimism in this respect!
